Holster break in and care.

I just got a new leather holster for my G-21. The inside is rough. How do I break it in and smooth it so that it won't take the finish of my gun?

  SPRAY THE INSIDE WITH SILICONE. AND,YOU CAN SAND LEATHER. GOOD LUCK!
