Record Book

Can someone tell me where I can order a Federal Firearms Record Book
Acquisition and Disposition. I have done searches and can't find them anywhere. Thanks in advance for the help.

  You don't need an "official" book. Use a loose leaf binder or any other convenient format. Just be sure to record all required information.

  Do NOT use a loose leaf book!!
  Must be a bound book and no white out.
  The advice here amazes me sometimes.

  I do not want to start something foolish; however, page 138 (E1) of the 2000 Reference Guide asks:
  What is a "bound book?"
  Answer: A "bound book" is a permanently bound book OR AN ODERLY ARRANGEMENT OF LOOSE-LEAF PAGES which must be maintained on the business premises. In either event, the format must follow that prescribed in the regulations and the pages must be numbered consecutively.
  I have my pages printed by a local printer and would be glad to send a copy to anyone wishing to do the same. As far as white out goes I would like to see that pointed out to me in the regulations as I have used it on LEGAL documents since I typed my first insurance policies and bonds in 1966.

  No matter what type of bound book you use- homemade or professionaly printed, the NUMBER ONE error compliance inspectors find is people who fail to number their pages. The regulations say the bound book must be orderly and that means page #1, #2 ect.. The reason for this is to make sure that you don't slip a gun or two you just bought into a page dated a year ago...lots of guys would do that and then sell the gun as a personal firearm.
  
  You can use Liquid Paper- but don't be suprised if the inspector scapes it off with a pen knife to see just what kind of mistake you made...don't ask me how I know this! Just line out your mistakes and intital them, no one expects perfection. If the BATF inspector finds an absolutely perfect bound book he knows something must be wrong somewhere. I've purchased my bound books from the National Association of Federally Licensed Firearms Dealers for nearly 20 years and like the over size format they offer. Before that I simply made my own bound book using copy paper and a ruler and typed in my own headings- ah, those were the days!
