Black powder for south paw

Hello,does anyone know if there is a black powder rifle hawkins,ect in a left handed modle? Thanks for the help. Oro

  Seems to me, CVA makes one. And I've looked. Not recently mind you, but I looked. Just do a search for CVA, Conneticut(sp) Valley Arms. Or Dixiegunworks. One of the BP gun makers even makes a left hand flintlock.

  I have a Thompson Center New Englander that is a left hander. I know that they use to make a couple of left handers. I think Lyman did as well. I don't know if they still make these.

  I know for a fact that Traditions makes left handers in almost all their models. Check with Bass Pro, Cabellos, or any local gun shop and you should not have any problem finding one. You can go online to the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association and they will have a a link to Traditions site.

  You will love this -- Thompson/Center had a fire in 1997. That's how many years ago? All investment casting dies for left-hand sidelock muzzleloaders were destroyed.

  They still have not replaced the dies. Thompson/Center makes no left-hand traditional muzzleloading long arms.

  Oro: How much money did you want to invest? If you are buying for the rest of your life, why not invest in a limited production rifle from a custom maker? These things hold their value much better than mass-produced rifles. And pride of ownership -- the WOW! factor -- is priceless. If you figure out how much you are willing to spend every day for the rest of your life, say ten cents a day, you will find you can invest enough for something wonderful.
