Beretta 9000S
I just bought a NIB Beretta 9000S in 40 S & W - paid $425.00 which I think is a good price. I know zip about this gun. I usually stick to 1911s & Browning HP when it comes to semi autos, and plastic is usually a no go, but this thing just looks neat. Any opinions, negative as well as positive, of the gun?
I'm having a tough time finding mags - no Mecgar or Promags found for the 9000S. Does anyone have a source?

I have a chance to get a Berette 9000S in .40 S&W pretty cheap. Anybody have any horror stories or praise for this gun. I have had several 92's and I don't have anything bad to say about Beretta yet. Never shot a 9000 though. Just wanted some opinions. Thanks. 0 -
I just got one in .40 S&W. I've only been able to get to the range with it once. Out of 6 mags, I was consistently all over the target with it, with both Federal HydraShocks and S&B FMJ. Might have been me -- I only had 30 minutes range time and was hurried. I really like how it fits my hand and points, esp. with the snap-down extensions on the mags, but if I don't do better with it next time at the range, it will be seeking a new owner.
Good hammerless revolver? Ruger SP-101 in .357 (actually bobbed hammer, not hammerless). The Taurus CIA is truly hammerless I believe, but I've never shot one.0 -
I like the S&W 640 revolver. Don't know anything much about the Beretta save that it's like other polymers--it's got to fit your hand from the getgo because you really can't modify the grip.

Oh, I forgot to add, this is an extremely tight pistol, both the slide and the safety/decocker. Maybe after 200-300 rounds they would be better. The trigger is decent, though. 0
