These are fine rifles and just a shootable today as they were 30 + years ago. The 513 was discontinued in around 1969 and the last retail price I have was $99.95 with the sights. US Property marked guns turn up from time to time and command a premium. A NIB 513 would probably retail in the $400 range and I'd add a good 25% for the US Property markings. In excellent condition it would be worth a little less. The huge CMP .22 rifle sales program has made US marked rimfire rifles much more available than they were 10 years ago and values have dropped off some what. I bought a 541X through the program (along with others). This drop off is temporary and values will rise once the CMP stocks are depleted. I say just hang onto that Remington for a while longer- and this is one you can still shoot if you wish as it won't effect the value much at all.
