Kel Tec options
I've had a P-32 for about a year now. I really like this gun but my wife is confiscating it for her use. Since I will be buying a new CCW gun I was thinking of moving up to the P-11 or even P-40. How is recoil in .40 from this small gun? Are there any high capacity mags available for the .40? I know the 9mm takes S&W mags, but I'm not sure which model.

The P-11 takes the S & W 59-series magazines.
I don't know about the P-40 and any high capacity mags--but hasn't Kel-Tec stopped making the P-40?

Several of the double stack S&W 40's will fit the p-40, but 11 rounds is about all they hold. I have used some of the after market 30 round mags in my P-11. The P-40 is what I carry and it does have a pretty good amount of recoil. The p-11 is easier to shoot. I would try a P-40 out before I bought one. I don't have a problem shooting them but I am not particularly sensitive to recoil. The P-40 is no longer made, but you can still find them for sale. 0 -
My friend had a p40 and it will not feed reliably no matter what mag style is in it. There is a lot of fluff and buff that KelTec owners say is required to make them more reliable but if you are going to spend the extra money go for a baby Glock or new XD from Springfield Armory. Maybe there is a good reason they stopped making them!!! 0 -
Hey , I own (and "carry") a 40 cal. keltec , just love it , also have a 9mm but like the bigger cal....Never have had any problems with either of mine , do reccomend them highly...I carry mine "off duty" and would not risk lives on something substandard...and you can use s&w hi-cap mags (stay away from the generic stuff)....

Might want to wait awhile. Kel-Tec is about to introduce a new
.380 that is only slightly larger & heavier that the P-32.
