There are several synthetic stocks available from choate, ramline, and butler creek. I don't know of any wood stocks.

Don't try to put a prom dress on a pig.

The SKS is a cheaply made, utilitarian rifle. Throw it in the back of your truck, carry it in the woods in the rain, and it will generally provide you with reliable, low cost shooting. Don't waste your money trying to turn it into something that it is not. No matter how much you "sporterize" it, it will still be an SKS.

Just do an SKS Stock search at any of the above and that should keep you busy for a couple of hours.

I ground off the bayonette lug, changed to the black plastic stock,
replaced the 10 round mag with a five rounder & added the scope mount & scope.
You really can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. (But it does look a little better.) The stock dropped right in. The upper handguard was a little problem but not too much.
