Laminated stock refinishing
I have a Ruger M 77 with the brown laminated stock that was available in 1986 and it has some dings/scratches (from the hammer of a revolver that I carried on my side) that need to be refinished. Can anyone tell me who I can contact to get it refinished and maybe have a rough guess as to the cost? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Can't help you on the who, but, Iwill say this. If you decide to do it yourself, BE CAREFUL!! The two woods may not sand the same. One may be harder than the other. If you sand them without a hard sanding block, the harder one may stand proud of the softer one, leaving a rippled effect.
Iknow you are looking for someone, just don't get impatient and do it yourself, without some practice on other laminated wood.

I don't have anyone either, but to give you a touchstone for price, you can replace the stock from Boyds (www.boydboys.com) for about $130. 0 -
Hi,
Give Scott Vaughn a call at 870-935-7155. I'm unsure if he does laminates but he does do excellent stock refinishing. Also check out his web-site.
