    Hi All,
I was looking to buy a CZ75 but have seen a great deal on a CZ40. They look similar but the 40 has an alloy frame while the 75 is steel if I remember correctly. I was told a while back that CZ had problems with the CZ 40 frames cracking. Is this correct? Looking to have it as a house gun but I go to the range regularly for practice so this would be getting quite a few rounds through it every year.

    Thanks as always,
    Greasy

The first I have heard of cracked frames!!! Have about 1500 rounds thru mine with NO problems. No failures to fire, no failures to eject, no failures to feed and good service grade accuracy. The size and shape imitate the Colt Commander (one of my favorites) and CZ makes a quality gun.

    Thanks,
I heard it from a guy at the local range but have not been able to confirm it. All I read is that CZ makes a quality gun as you say.

    Thanks again.
