I know this question has been posed a billion times but I would appreciate any info one could give me about my SKS. I just purchased a unissued Yugo sks (i feel everyone should own one at one point or another) and I need to know ,besides a good cleaning, what I should do to it before I fire it. any aftermarket mods I should consider or stay away from etc.

I would be in your debt for the help!!

  Considering it already has a bayo lug and a grenade launcher, you can't really do many mods without getting yourself in trouble. Detail stripping and cleaning are the two biggest things. I would use it as it is and be happy. [:D]

  Thanks I appreciate the info....I wasnt interested in any of the cosmetic or "evil" looking mods other then an after market stock. I was talking more about the trigger re-work and the possible problems with the gas piston system Ive heard a little about. If you can forward me to a website or have any additional info I would appreciate it!!

  If you have any questions or have any problems, e-mail me at jvnt@hotmail.com and I'll try to fly you through. Get it cleaned and lubed and see how it performs. A trigger job on one of these is tough but possible. I cut three trigger groups last week and it is a pain in the rear to put those together. [:D]
