28 gauge slugs have not been in production for quite some time now. I think (someone can help me out with the date here) they stopped making these slugs sometime in the 1960's. They are big with the slug collectors now and very expensive. Hope this helps.

    welcome to the group, guys!

sport has it right, these are purely a collectible these days and relatively pricey (typically, $2 per round or more, depending on condition and packaging). As to laws reflecting reality, let's not forget there are still laws on the books dating to Colonial days, e.g., it is prohibited to graze your livestock on Boston Common . . . . Besides, it's always possible someone could load some in the future, as 'special runs' have been made of almost everything at one time or another.

Lance; as far as I know the other members are right. No factory loaded slugs at this time unless maybe from Europe. Check www.ballisticproducts.com they still list 28ga. slugs for reloading yourself but then you have to locate the data. Joe B. hunterinthethumb

These guys are right on target; I had asked the same question a while back and was able to find the info I needed at that website. Emery
