adjustable chokes informations

Hi,
I am looking for informations about history and development of adjustable choke devices.
I have found useful data in Walker's "Shotgun Gunsmithing" and "Shotguns by Keith".
Does anyone know any other sources of informations, please?
I want to buy old, used or new adjustable chokes, any models and gauges.
