Remington 1100 .410's - still making them or not?

I have a mint 1970's 1100 .410. I have been thinking about getting a new one just to keep the one I have in good condition. Every year, I see online ads saying that this is the last year for production. Yet, it seems another year is by and they are still producing them, and still for sale. However, they haven't been on their site at all for the last 3 years. Any ideas?
Also, can barrels be bought new for them? They are not listed on their parts catalog, but if they made them recently I'd think they should be available.

  I believe Models 1100 in .410 were discontinued in about 1994. Perhaps there are some Remington experts here who might know of special runs after that. In the nearly decade since, it is quite possible that barrels are no longer availabe from Remington. I suggest just calling the parts department and asking, but, if they are not in the parts catalog, I would guess they are not available.

  Remington made a special run of them last year. Picked two of them up
  for 559. They were listed in a distributors flyer last fall, haven't
  seen them in there since.

  They were made new as of last year, but just in limited numbers. There are a couple of them on the auction now.

  Yeah, I keep seeing them advertised as NIB... But like I said, they keep saying "this is the last year they are making them" and then the next year they are still saying that...
  I think if they are selling, they should keep making them (and parts for them)

  I still see the .410 1100 offered on GunBroker. I got mine about 2 years ago from Paulas Outdoors (thru GunBroker) in Ohio. Had the best price. Find out where BT99 purchased.
