10/22 trigger job

I would like to lower the trigger pull on my Ruger. I have seen trigger assemblys for 185.00. I have also seen 10-15$ spring kits, and 50-60$ spring kits, with other parts. Has anyone here done this themselves? What's the best way to lower the trigger pull to around 3 lbs.?

  Who makes the best target hammer to reduce the trigger pull on a ruger 10/22 rifle?

  Volquartsten (spelling?).
  I got a sweet trigger job just done by my local gunsmith for $20 or $25 with no parts. I am happy with it. Of course it isn't as nice as the $200 drop in Volquartsten trigger assembly...
