brass vs nickel cases

    Nickel cases don't require the cleaning that brass does, but I think that you can reload brass several more times than nickel. The nickel case seems to be more brittle.

    what surfsalvage said is true the nickel will split sooner it is to brittle

    I agree. In .45ACP, nickel seems to be good for 4-5 reloads before it starts to split at the case mouth. Brass, especially old GI stuff, seems to last forever.

    .38 Special in nickle seems to split after 3-4 reloads....too bad, because it's kinda hard to find it in brass.

    If you need brass let me know. The range we hold classes at has TONS of it. They just had thousands of .357 Sig casings from the feds.
