Ithaca Model 66 ??

I have a Ithaca model 66 in .410 gauge for my son, it appears that the stock has loosen up a little bit. Is this something I can fix or does it need to go to a gunsmith?? Is it even worth repairing??
If this can be repaired how involved is it??

  TAKE THE BUTT-PLATE OFF,SHINE A FLASHLIGHT INTO THE LARGE HOLE AND LOCATE THE SCREW-HEAD. TAKE A LONG SCREW-DRIVER AND SNUG UP THE SCREW,RE-INSTALL THE BUTT PLATE AND YOUR FINISHED!
