mossberg 223 single shot

I ahve a chance to purchase a used Mossberg 223 single shot rifle in good condition.This rifle looks a lot like the Ruger No. 1. Have any of you guys messed with one of these and what type of accuracy can I expect?I have a choice of this one or a Ruger No.3 in tha same caliber. Thanks. Snowshoe
