i purchased some of the FIOCCHI 9mm 147 gr ammo for my father when a shipment came in at the shop. there was no noticable difference in recoil, but it shot very small groups from my fathers STAR MODEL B. we compared it to several other brands and wieghts, and it came out on top. if your only punching holes in paper, or knocking down steel plates, worry less about the speed, and more about the group size. best regards, mike.

This ammo is going to be stored mostly.
When needed it will be shot out of a Ruger P-85MKII, P-95 and a PC-9 rifle. I'm worried about distance and accuracy with this round from the rifle. Also about penetration up to two hundred yards.

Niner, considering that it has higher sectional density, it should maintain downrange velocity and energy better, but I am guessing that the bullet will probably drop substantially further because of the longer flight time. I prefer the lighter 9's for close range (ie <25 yds) and the heavy 9's at 25+ yds.
