Bolt grease

What is the best lubricant to use on a bolt and how much should be used. What other parts of the rifle should be lubed?
I have used bearing grease on my o/u shotgun as recommended by a friend. Is there a spray or is there just grease. Thanks.

  A light film of oil and a light film of either Hoppes Rifle grease or basically any other grease applied to the locking lugs is all I use. I also put a little on the sear. Semi autos are more problematic.
