Value of F.A. Loomis Double Barrel Shotgun ?
I am not an expert by a long shot but this gun looks to be in all original shape. No repairs that I can see. Damascus Barrels. Barrels have very minor pitting in scattered areas. One barrel has a very slight dent-flat spot at the very end of the barrel which could be easily removed. Beautiful engraving. Overall a very tight and original gun. See link for 19 images. Thank you! $350.00 to a Collector and maybe a bit more to a Single Action Shooter....Your Loomis was made in circa 1890/95...Birmingham, England....Make a nice Wall Hanger or a Mantle Piece...I suggest that you not shoot it, as it is a Damascus Barreled, Black Powder Gun...Do not shoot Low base Cordite or Smokeless Powder Either.....
