Putting a scope on an FAL L1A1....

I like this series of rifle and the century ones seem to be pretty fair as far as quaility and reliability....

I want to put a scope on it...what are my options?

Does it matter about which company it comes from...i.e. century, DSA, etc....

Any help is appreciated.

  I used a B-Square mount on mine. It comes with a set of high rings and it takes the place of the receiver cover. Tapco has a fairly cheap mount and ring set up also. Both of these are for 1" scope tubes. I had to remove my carry handle, but if you use a short scope, you would not have to.

  Personal preference here (but for a very good reason), stick with a strictly metric weapon. Only the Commonwealth countries used the inch pattern. 90% of the FAL's in the world are metric. Scope options are limited to top cover mounts as far as I know.
