I bought one several months ago and put it on a Ruger 22/45 .22 pistol. After about fifty rounds the glass inside came loose. I threw it in the trash......

I've got a couple of the BSA red dots, one a 30mm and the other one bigger (40mm?) haven't had any trouble with either, 30mm has been on both a Bulgarian AK with the Ultra-MAK mount and an SW5 (HK94 clone) and the other I had on the HK USC (.45 carbine) then switched it to my Steyr SPP 9mm pistol ... I've had both for a couple years and have shot a couple thousand rounds through both problem free ... I thought about getting a couple more so I dont have to switch them back and forth but got a couple of the Russian Holo sights at CDNN instead.

I've got several BSA optic's and had good luck with them all except 1 and they were very easy to work with when I sent it in for warrenty ... It was discontinued and they replaced it with 2 Platinum Target Scopes which was nearly 2X what I paid for the big wheel scope.

I've put a 42mm on my AR15 and it was well worth the money. Fast target acquisition!

I haven't heard good things about the bigger ones. But the 30mm and the 23mm should be alright. If you want one that will hold up for sure try the Bushnell Trophy red dot. It has a lifetime warrenty and has been a red dot of strenght for several years.

Well I took it to the range the other day and I was not impressed. After I sighted it in I set it down to shoot another gun. When I came back to my AR, I was all over the target. And that was from a rest. I guess I'll go buy that Burris red oty I saw on clearance.

I've used one on a Browning Buckmark for a couple years and it has functioned well. No problems so far. It's the 30mm. I put a 42 MM on a 7-30 Waters barrel on a T/C contender for a friend and it has gone thru a year of shooting and riding in a farm truck, no problems! It's not a holosight but we weren't expecting that when we bought them either! GHD

I had mounted mine on my AR (w/B-Square mount), sighted it in sort of off-hand, not really with a real solid rest. Took it off to clean and store rifle. Threw it back on about two months ago and at 25m I put 3 shots on the edge of the xring with a nice solid rest. Surprised the heck out of me! I thought it was the best $35 I've spent in along time.
