Tasco Lighted Scope
I have a Tasco Pro Class 2x22 Scope with a Lighted Recticle in it. The battery for it is dead, and I need to buy a new one. Does anyone know how to get the old battery out, and where I can get a new one (3V)? Thanks.

I have a few of the Tasco Pro Class scopes but not with the lighted recticle so I can't tell you how to get out the battery. Usually you just unscrew a cap and there's the battery.For my red dots I get my batterys at Radio Shak

If you can't figure it out yourself, you may want to contact the repair people at ABO (USA), Inc. They are an independent shop doing a lot of Tasco's warranty work for a nominal fee. The number is 305-860-4858. E-Mail is www.abousainc.com. I have no experience with them as far as their service, I just sent a scope to them for repair. I am hoping they do a good job. Good Luck

Tasco just recently got bought out, by Simmons I believe. 0 -
I thought tasco was bought out by bushnell. If any optics pros out there , Please set the story right on this one.

Actually, Bushnell bought the Tasco name, no inventory or other tangible property. Tasco liquidated inventories and anything else they could sell, to anyone they could, prior to selling their name to Bushnell. Tasco's lifetime warranties are worth less today than a share of Enron or Worldcom.

Bushnell did buy Tasco and why would they want anything to do with the old warrenties. The old Tascos were shotty products. Bushnell plans on improving these products without driving the cost up. Don't expect them to start turning out scopes like the elites but the new line should be pretty good. Bushnell has no plans of giving up tasco so the lifetime warrenties in these new models should be for life. 0
