Hoyt Magnatec riser cracked
I bought a Hoyt Magnatec bow three weeks ago and shot it the first time yesterday. I was looking the bow over and found that there are two places on the riser that the paint is cracked. I cannot tell if the riser itself is cracked. I called the store where I purchased it from and they said Hoyt would replace the riser - just a matter of removing the old one and putting on the new one. My question is: Do you think this is acceptable (just like brand new) or should I insist on a different bow? I am a new hunter so I need guidance. THANKS!!

Like most bow manfactures, Hoyt has a lifetime warrenty on the riser. Send it directly to Hoyt for inspection/repair/replacement (let them do the work). Tip, remove any accessories that you have on the bow. This is the slow season for archery manfactures, so they should be able to get it back out with in a week of it's arivial.
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.0 -
You may not be able to send it back to Hoyt without a "return authorization" from a dealer.
