Triger pull on Taurus 94

I haven't messed with my Taurus 94 yet, but I am extremely dissatisfied with the trigger pull, as well as the fact that the cylinder starts to bind up after shooting about 40 rounds. I plan to send it back to Taurus asking them to fix the cylinder problem and lighten the trigger pull.

I've heard of people putting in lighter springs, but I can't tell you how much that will help. I think Wolf sells lighter springs for the 94, and it's certainly worth a try. I would have done it except I also want the cylinder problem fixed.

You mention that you heard that all J-frame 22s have bad trigger pulls. NOT TRUE, at least if you include S&W. I was so disappointed in my Taurus 94 that I found a used S&W model 63. What a difference in quality! The SA trigger pull on my Taurus 94 is 4.2 lbs. It's less than half of that on my S&W 63 - 1.9 lbs. And the DA trigger pull? It's about 10.5 lbs. on my S&W 63 and I can't measure it on the Taurus because the fish scale I use for 5+ lbs. only goes up to 16 lbs. I'm guestimating that it must be at least 18 to 20 POUNDS!! There's no way anybody can shoot DA with an 18 to 20 lb. trigger pull.

Find yourself a S&W Model 63 - you'll have to find a used one, as they don't make them anymore.
