Taurus PT-series 111, 140, or 145 which one?
What would be an all aorund better gun as far as accuracy, shootability, durablility carryability and concealability.
PT-111 9mm or PT-140 40 S&W or PT-145 .45acp
I really like the features on the 145, but will that be alot of power for that light of a gun to keep accurate?

I handled a PT145 at a gun show this weekend. SWEET! I like Taurus guns, and don't think you would go wrong with any of the mentioned. Best to handle each one yourself, and if possible, shoot each one. Then go with what you feel best with.

I hate to say it bit I would probably go with the 9mm. I shot a friends at the range over X-mas it was pretty sweet. I really liked the manual saftey with the DAO trigger, and the nitesites. you cant beat it for 350$. I dont think I would like anything larger than the 9 because of its size and light weight, it just seems almost perfect in 9mm. I know some people dont like the 9mm but if you put quick follow up shots on target,thats what counts. Just my 2cents. 0 -
Save yourself about $100.00 and buy a KEL-TEC 9m/m.It's also a better gun.The Taurus is a copy of the KEL-TEC with a useless safety added.

Well I thought about the 9mm being a bit more accurate during somewhat rapid fire than .45 and a lil cheaper, BUT (and it is a big BUT) I really like the new security system they have for disabling the gun with a key and I also heard that the pt-145 is one of the greatest .45's on the market as far as recoil and preformance. Plus damn man, its a 45![8D] To me is just seems like one of the best handguns on the market, but I will checkout the kel-tec.

I can't give you an accurate estimation on price difference between .45 ACP cartriges and 9mm cartriges because it varies greatly on what your gun likes to digest which will dictate price.
I have never owned one but I have been told (by almost everyone that I know who has owned one of these Tarus guns) that there were quite a few quality control issues associated with them. If you go with a Kel Tec you won't be disappointed so long as you are not looking for a plinking gun. It has a heavy DAO trigger pull but that never bothered me much. You won't have quality control issues with a Kel Tec P-11 in 9mm.
On a side-note. These quality control issues surprised me greatly because Taurus is known for quality. Then again, I've also heard of problems with the Raging Bulls in heavier calibers as well. Like I said, none of that was first-hand knowledge. I've owned a Taurus PT-99 and a Tarus snubbie in .357 and loved both. In spite of the fact that Tarus usually puts out a darn fine firearm, there are better out there but you do get a lot of bang for your buck.0
