Gunsmith help Rem mod 512 sportsman
Striker goes forward when bolt is pushed closed. It some times hesitates for a blink but then the striker will fall. Cam on bolt is still square with just a small amount of visable ware. The sear looks beat up. Im thinking I need to replace the sear. Am I overlooking some other possibility?Is there any "kink" involved in replacing the sear?Are sears the same in 510 thru 513 models? many thanks in advance cause you guys never let me down.

Pull the action out of the wood. On the left side of the receiver above
the trigger you will see two screws. Both scres should have punch marks on them so the will not turn. Try turning one or both screws very slightly in on direction or the other and try closing the bolt and see if this helps. If it does, the punch them again in the new position.0
