358 Winchester's wife want to know
I have a single shot 12 gauge shot gun made by Maureyan Arms Co. in Norwich Conn. Only other marking on gun is barrel marked full choke and the number 19X. Any information on this gun, greatly appricated, so I can tell my husband that I looked one up on my own.

Norwich, CT was the center of the low-priced American Firearms Industry during the 1880s to 1920s. Crescent Arms, Norwich Arms, Allen & Thurber, Thames Arms, and many others, made guns there. In addition, many of these gunmakers made private label "store brand" shotguns and pistols.
Crescent alone made shotguns with 175+ different trade names. Your's may be one of those, but I don't find a "Maureyan" listed.
