270 or 7mm which to get rid of???
I'm in the process of selling some guns (have too) and was wondering which gun to get rid of. It is between the ruger M77 MK II 7mm rem. mag or the Browning A Bolt SS stalker in 270. I will be using the remaining gun for antelope and deer hunting in Colorado with an occassional elk hunt (mostly cow elk).Which would be the better overall gun? Thanks for any suggestions.

If the Ruger is stainless I'd keep it for the extra distance other wise I'd keep the stainless 270 just for the sake of durability and reliability in various weather conditions. 0 -
I think GPWEAPON's logic is flawless, though I would tend to prefer the Browning myself. Don't like Ruger triggers. 0 -
I would keep which ever gun you shoot the best.

270 should go. 7mm better all around 0 -
7mm better than 270????? In a pigs patute!!!! Before you make such blanket statements you had best describe "better". I'll put my 270 against any 7mm Mag in a practical shooting/hunting situation anytime, anywhere!! Like a couple of posts earlier stated, keep the one you shoot best. The difference is not worth talking about. 0 -
enney, menney, minney, mo...which rifle gots to go??? 0 -
Keep the 7 mag. It is the best for elk and its not to much gun for the big mule deer in Colorado. 0 -
I'll buy the Browning if you want to sell it,lol,Bob. 0
