What's worth ? Winchester, Model 59
Greetings !
I am new here, this is my first post.
A retired friend in Florida owns the this shotgun: Winchester, Model 59. Purchased around 1960. It is a 12 gauge, semiauto, has a fiberglass barrel with a steel liner, and an Aluminum housing with steel parts. Interesting, it has about the same recoil as a 410.
Could you experts tell me if it has an unusual value, because it has the fiberglass barrel ? Is there any interest in purchasing ?
I will check for response here, but I can also be reached at floridajim@ez-net.com Thank you for the help ! Jim Murphy

Welcome, Jim ! You'll find a huge amount of information and a lot of helpful people on this forum. Regards your question, the M59 hasn't gained a lot of collector interest but is a curiosity with it's Win-lite barrel. Values range from $175 (60%) to $350 (95%). If you are looking to purchase the gun, look for cracks in the frame by the bolt handle cutout and "de-laminating" fiberglass on the barrel. 0
