    I love mine, but... I looked around until I found one with the stainless trigger option, the standard ones are plastic. As is the mainspring housings, I replaced mine with a steel one. I don't have a problem with plastic, it just dosn't seem right on a 1911.

    Oh I put on some wood grips too. The grips on the older 1991's were plastic also but now (I think, at least mine was) some rubbery stuff.

    1911's are the gun of choice for me, very safe, ergonomic for big and small hands, Plus their longevity in history.

    I bought a Colt because of their history as well.

    I havn't as of yet tried various types of ammo, have pretty much stuck with ball and havn't had a jam in about oh 500 or so. Still breaking it in.

    The price isn't too bad . It kind of depends on the age and the shape the pistol is in.
