Gun safe
I'm looking into getting a gun safe with fire protection. Only thing is I'm kinda stupid on this subject. I looked on line and they all seem about the same to me. My price range is gonna be around $500.00 and I'm thinking 10 to 12 guns should be plenty big enough. Any opinions or info would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am looking for info on what is thought to be the best gun safes on the market. Need some input from folks that. What do you have and why do you like or dislike it.

Hope you find what you are looking for. Keep in mind the shipping and handling charges in moving a safe. I was once about to buy a safe that seemed to be a good deal. In the NY area, the dealer agreed to deliver it free. That is where it got expensive. He wanted a dollar a foot that he had to move the safe from his truck to my place in the house, plus five dollars per step that it had to go up or down stairs. That killed the deal for me. I wound up having a locker made by a fabricator of dump truck bodies. It was of eighth inch plate with reinforced door and around the opening. The deal included delivery and placement at a total cost of about what the other safe would have cost. Hope this helps. 0 -
Take a look at the Sentry gun safe at Wal Mart. The larger of the 2 they carry is about $330. I have 2 that I use for mags, ammo, and accessories.

If you are not in need of it right away. I would save up a few hundred more and buy a real safe. Try looking for one used. I found a nice 28 gun safe for $600.00. I had to do all the moving. Ask at local gun shops thats how I found mine. A customer was looking to sell one and the shop didn't want to mess with it. 0
