Tuning Smith Revolvers

I have a very nicely tumed L frame Smith and would like to duplicate the double action pull on an N frame. Is this a job that can be done by an amature and if so,what should be done?

  You may want to try by getting a spring kit and starting there. They can usually be installed by someone with a minimum of knowledge and skill.
