Who makes Cabela's "in house brand" of scopes? How do they stack up?

They had a Japanese Company named Hakko making them a few years ago and suspect since the models remain the same they still do.

Hakko is a large optics firm who makes scopes that are marketed under other brand names. One of Hakko's creations was the sniper model that Tasco marketed, they make optics to the customers specs. From trash to treasure, one names his own poison. Hakko had or has a U.S. distributor located in Miama.

If this information is outdated I'm sure you will so informed as there are some very knowledgable people hanging out in here.

You got it right. There are three primary scope makers in Japan and some floating around in the Pacific rim. They will make whatever you want and put your name on it. Finding in depth tests or specs for such scopes is next to impossible. They can cut a lot of corners.

BARSCA OR BARSKA ???MAKES SCOPES FOR CABELA'S AS WELL AS A FEW OTHER COMPANY'S..
