I GOT THAT OLD ITCH AGAIN, I WANT A NEW GUN AND I'M KINDA STUMPED ON WHAT TO GET. I REALLY DON'T NEED ONE AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT THE WIFE SAYS LOL...BUT STILL ANY COOL SUGESSTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.. I ALREADY HAVE .22,.22 MAG,17 REMINGTON,243 WIN,308 WIN,30/06 SPRING.,KINDA LEANING TOWARDS ANOTHER VARMINT CALIBER BUT AM UNDECIDED..COULD THE WIFE BE RIGHT????DO I NEED ONE ???I THINK SO BUT WHAT WOULD IT BE???

  Then again you could get the ultimate caliber....25-06 and it will handle all your varmint needs and a whole lot of other stuff too!!! GHD PS. Like Eddie Murphy says in "Trading Places" "Once you try it, you'll never go back!" GHD

  If you want to scratch an itch like you were a little kid again get a Rossi mod.62 and go to the recycle center and stock up on tin cans. It is a copy of Win. 1890 gallery rifel pump action. Little bity gun great big fun. cheap aprx 125.00 used,reliable,acurate,more fun than

  My newest acquistion is a Remington 700 BDL, 25-06. To date very impressed may have to retire my .22 Hornet one of these days.

  Since you seem to favor the smaller calibers (I think nobody can have enough rifles in 30-06), you should look long and hard at either the 22-250 (a great varmint caliber) or even better, the 25-06. As an offspring of the 30-06, it will feel at home in your safe and is suitable for either varmint or deer.

  My dad just bought a model 70 .270 short mag. Its awsome. It burns the powder faster than the normal .270 and really gets the lead moving.
