  The tasco is a decent scope. i have it on a 30-06 and it keeps on but if you want good scopes go with nikon and leapold. the bsa i have heard bad things about and would not use one.

  I too have heard bad things about BSA stuff in general, but nothing bad about the Catseye specifically. I have three of the Catseyes 3-10 X 44 (2 on muzzleloaders and one on a 12 gauge) and do really like them. I bought them because of the generous eye relief and really like the heavy retical. They are doing fine - so far I think they are a good scope if you are only going to spend $90. I would like to hear from other owners of Catseyes - have I just been lucky so far, or are these pretty good scopes?
  
  I've only had 1 World Class (a refurbished 4 X 40). It was pretty clear & bright, but the adjustments wouldn't work and it pretty well soured me on Tasco and refurbished scopes (if I remember right the Tasco warranty on refurbished scopes was only 30 days - and of course I was past that).

  Be carefull buying any Tascos right now. Bushnell just bought tasco and any scopes made before bushnell bought them no longer have a warrenty. The only good thing about buying a tasco is that they are all on clearance because of this.

  I've used lots of the better Tasco scopes and find them adequate for general use. If you're on a high dollar back country hunt you might want to spend more but for most things they work as good as any. I've never missed a shot at game or lost an opportunity to shoot due to scope problems with the cheaper brands. One of the best zero holding scope I ever had was a $29.99 Bushnell and it was on a .300 winmag for years and years.
