stevens 22 (whats it worth)

    I think, but I'm not positive, that the model 86 was a Stevens-Springfield? My memory being sometimes unreliable, I think they were made from the early thirties to the late forties, and should be about a hundred dollar gun. Best that I can do!
    (I'd just keep it and shoot it, it's a solid piece and won't let you down.)

    Stevens-Springfield Model 86 & 086.....22 bolt-action, tube magazine. Made from the 1930's until the mid 1960's.

    95% about $130.

    ok but what does the D stand for????

    mo10x-- Take a look at this post: old savage parts,01/02/2003 12:48:06. That site has an icon to ask questions. Some of the Savage, Stevens, and Springfield brands were near identical and used a lot of common parts. I suspect that the 86D had some meaning relative to the sights.
