I JUST GOT A 22 STEVENS BOLT ACTION #86D ON A TRADE..I WAS WONDERING WHAT IT WAS WORTH , ITS IN ABOUT 95%+ CONDITION..ALL MY SOURCES DO NOT SHOW THIS MODEL..ANY AND ALL HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPREICIATED..THANKS.....[?]

I think, but I'm not positive, that the model 86 was a Stevens-Springfield? My memory being sometimes unreliable, I think they were made from the early thirties to the late forties, and should be about a hundred dollar gun. Best that I can do!
(I'd just keep it and shoot it, it's a solid piece and won't let you down.)0 -

mo10x-- Take a look at this post: old savage parts,01/02/2003 12:48:06. That site has an icon to ask questions. Some of the Savage, Stevens, and Springfield brands were near identical and used a lot of common parts. I suspect that the 86D had some meaning relative to the sights.
