CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHY EARLIER MODEL 37 BARRELS WILLNOT INTERCHANGE?WHERE THEY ALL HAND FITTED? IS IT POSSIBLE TO FIND A BARREL AND RECIEVER WITH TWO DIFFERENT SERIAL NO'S THAT ARE CLOSE ENOUGH TO FIT AND FUNCTION TOGETHER PROPERLY?

  Yes, the early ones were hand fitted. It's possible to find one that fits but if it doesnt, the possibilities are either that metal has to be removed or has to be added. Are you prepared to do that, aside from reselling the barrel?
