Can someone tell me about a Marlin Papoose
I've seen a picture of the Papoose and it is a funny looking gun, but it is light weight and that is what I need.
Question: Is it off balance, and how does it shoot? Any information that you can give me I would greatly appreciate.
Thank You

Is that a takedown 22? Don't recall the name but sounds like the little rifle my neighbor has. 0 -
Had one, they shoot just fine,it was too short in the stock for me. 0 -

Yes, it breaks down.0 -
There a good little gun I have one the barrel screws off the reciever and it goes into a nice carrying case. Its a semi-auto,and mine shoots great.I have the AR-7 too,it completely breaks down and the reciever barrel mag and all go inside the polymer stock.Henry is marketing the gun now.
Best!!

I also own an AR-7, very lightweight, and rugster didnt mention that after it completely breaks down all the pieces fit into the butstock, and when closed its supposed to be waterproof.. never tested it tho.. 0 -
I have the Marlin. Nice little gun. As someone else said, it is small. If you are 6'6" it won't be comfortable. It won't shoot with my 10-22 but is respectable. Mine is SS & synthetic and as you know the barrel is removable. It doesn't store in the stock like the AR-7 though.
cbxjeffIt's too late for me, save yourself.0 -
The papoose has always outshot the AR-7's that I've ever shot. Most AR-7's I had were problematic at best (mine were all arma-lite I think [?]). Jambing was constant, accuracy was sub-par.
I agree with jeff, the 10/22 should outshoot them all for the money.0
