12 Ga. misfires ?
I have a Winchester Pump that mis-fires occasionaly. This gun has probably not had more than 75 rounds shot out of it.The primers appear to have been dented deep enough. Is there a method of determining how deep they should be dented?
Is there a method of measuring how deep my cases are dented?
Two misfires at 30 yds. this year at a standing Buck-10pt.-20"wide.
He couldn't stand the noise from that pump action any longer and left very quickly. [V]
I am confused at times. We park on driveways anddrive on parkways.

different gun but i had the same problem with a win. .22 pump. if i kept foreward pressure on the slide handle it shot fine. but in normal operation without the extra foreward pressure. it would missfire leaving a good looking. dent in the cartridge rim. my gunsmith found that the gun had to much headspace. and felt it was a factory defect. the chamber was good and the bolt was locking up but there was just a few to many thousands between the cartridge base and the bolt face he was able to fix it. rather easily. 0 -
Check fireing pin return spring. I had a remington 870 that would mis-fire, each time it was a broken return spring. 0
