H&K Claw type mount w/ 1" inserts
What is the market value on one of these? Used, but appears to be in good shape w/ no rust or pitting visible in the photo.
Are there any markings that identify this as an original H&K product?

I find it impossible to put a value on a used item that I have never seen in person. I can tell you that the current retail price for an HK clawlock scope mount with 30mm rings and 1" inserts (part #700039) is $491. You'll have to use your own judgement as to what price you'd be willing to pay for a used unit based on its condition.
EVERY factory HK scope mount that I have ever seen is marked with the word: "SchuBrichtung" on its underside with an arrow pointing to the direction of the rilfes muzzel and indicating which way the mount should be installed. By the way, my key board does not have charactors to correctly spell that German word so I had to approximate.
I am glad to see that you passed on that other mount on the auction site as it appeared to be junk. Also, HK does sell the ARMS rail mount as a standard item(part #700212). This replaced the older factory STANAG mount. I hope this helps you.

I am getting the retail prices and part numbers from the HK Sporting Arms Dealer Price list- Jan., 2002 which I obtained from HK at last years Shooting Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (the SHOT Show). This was held in Las Vegas last year and will be in Orlando in a few weeks- you have to be a dealer to gain entrance. I stopped handling HK products several years back when I became a Colt LE dealer.
