Scoop on Thompson/Center ?Quick Load Accurizor"
These questions may have gotten buried, so I'm starting a new topic. Here are some other questions that I forgot to ask ... What is the Thompson/Center "Quick Load Accurizor"?
What is the scoop on it? What does this feature do? Does it work or not?
Seems like I read a note a while back about Thompson/Center muzzleloaders, and the person said it messed up the accuracy and once it was removed the gun was more accurate. Could that really be the truth of the matter? (Seems like Thompson/Center lauds it as a very good feature!)
Mega-thanks in advance.

The QLA is nothing more than a recessed crown on the barrel. It is recessed near a half inch to allow you to more easily start projectiles squarely in the barrel. Don't see how you could take it off without shortening the barrel or why you would want to. Doesn't seem to affect the accuracy of my Black Diamond. 0 -
my encore has it , sure makes loading a lot easier, rifle shoots 2" or less at 100 yd, so i don't think its hurting it any 0
