Matched set of COLT KING COBRAS...worth?
I had a friend show me a matched set of Colt King Cobras testerday that he had gotten in a trade. They were new unfired, in a presentation box, had the original Colt boxes with them. One was a 6" barrel and the other an 8" barrel. Matching serial numbers, 181CCC and CCC181. Nickel finish and never cycled much less fired! What would be your estimates of their worth? Thanks, GHD

Are you sure it's a nickel finish? My book makes no mention of a nickle finish, but it does list the King Cobra in both Stainless Steel, and "Ultimate Bright Stainless".
The value listed for a single 100% KC in Ultimate Bright Stainless is $475...but a cased matched pair? If you can find the right buyer....who knows?0 -
xracer, I wasn't sure about the nickel but it must be that"Ultimate Bright Stainless" because they were exceptionally bright and high luster!! Thanks for the reply! GHD 0 -
GHD, Surely you're not going to try to whack whistlepigs with those things !! 0 -
laxcoach, NO NO NO!!! I was just inquiring about them for the guy that has them. The only reason I'd want them is to sell them and get something usable!! I left another message for you on the post about the VA bowl game. Still waiting to hear your answer on the wager!! GHD 0 -
GHD, sorry for the tardiness re: UVA vs. Tech
after that near miss on 12/31, this is like taking candy from a baby!! Name your poison-loaded rounds or bullets, factory or "roll your own's"?0 -
laxcoach, 1 box of your favorite projectiles....Nosler, Hornady, Sierra, Speer or if you don't reload then your favorite box of factory loads. Ought to be fun and definitely the longest waiting period for a bet I've ever had!!! GHD 0 -
You're on ! Just don't let me forget. I'll even make arrangements to pick my winnings up ! 0
