I have come across an old shotgun. The only thing stamped on it is ARMY STEEL*BORED CHOKE* Patnd December11,1900. There is no serial number or brand or model. It is a single shot with the hammer back. A 12 gauge shell fits in it. anybody know anything about this

Nathan R. Davis made plain, serviceable, but very well made shotguns from 1853 to 1919. In 1917, they bought out Warner Arms and became Davis-Warner. In 1920 they merged with Crescent Arms and became Crescent-Davis.

Your shotgun, depending on condition, is worth between $60 to $150.

The condition is excellent, it has a hair trigger on one side but everything is intact no breaks or cracks in the wood.

I think X-Racer has it pegged. If it is in the condition you mentioned, probably on the high end of the 60 to 150 bucks range.
