Stevens shotgun sight

I have a stevens 5100 shotgun that originally had a bead about half way up the barrel. It is broken off. Does anyone know whether this is threaded, or pressed in? I believe gun was made in the early 40s and it has the Quartermaster Bomb stamped on it with U S engraved underneath.
