Savage takedown mount ??????

I have a Savage takedown with an odd mount on the receiver. I do not know what it is nor what it is for. Would someone be so kind as to host a few pics for me? Then maybe someone who sees it will let me know what it is. Thanks Iowa

  Nope that is not it - it is a side mount - any ideas?
