H&R 410 Over Under With Pics

Would like to know if anyone has any information on this gun. One side of the gun says HARRINGTON AND RICHARDSON INC. WORCHESTER, MASS. The other side of the gun is stamped IBARAKI FIREARMS CO. LTD. MADE IN JAPAN. Barrels are 26" choked improved cylinder and full. Has a single trigger, non- ejector. The only clue I have is half of the sticker on the stock which says H&R 100th ANNIVERSARY 1871-1971. If anyone has any info on this gun please let me know. Thank you.     Some of the H&R shotguns were manufactured for them overseas. Back of the bluebook will give you the year of manufacture from the letter prefix to the serial number.

    Few H&R guns are really collectable, mostly sold as shooters, they were utilitarian guns when built (but don't tell that to the guys that collect them).

    How do I put this?...

    Yours is about as utilitarian as a O/U can get. The plain wood, the stamped trigger guard, the clunky trigger, the obvious slam-bang-ship it look of the piece... BUT IT'S A .410.

    Since a Stevens SxS in about the same shape will bring $400.00 (more or less), I see no reason your little gun won't do the same. Maybe the "Made in Japan" will decrease value a bit but I doubt it.

    Hate to down it,but it looks really cheap.The pictures (way they were presented) were about the worst I've ever seen!!! [:(]

    during the 1970's h&r was in the business of importing several models of shotguns marked with their name and acting as distributors for others. if the only h&r markings are the sticker on the stock my guess is this was a gun that they were the distributor for and was imported in 1971.

    i have almost a complete set of h&r catalogs from this era and this shotgun does not appear in any of them. this shotgun must have been imported in very limited numbers as this is the first i have heard or seen of it.

    everyone need to remember h&r business was inexpensive field grade shotguns, rifles and handguns. how many other 410 over/under are there?
