Garand for Christmas

Well guys, I finally got my wish! I got a pretty good Auto Ordnance Garand for Christmas. It is mostly in pretty fine shape, the barrel is almost perfect, the stock has no major battle scars to speak of, and the overall appearance is very good. Now down to the problems!
The only one and the main one is, the receiver is worn enough to let the bolt handle come out of it's track, which causes it to jamb the bolt before it can come fully into battery. I have taken it to a gunsmith, and he has told me that the only safe option, is to replace the receiver, and the bolt handle.
So my question is, where is the best place to find these parts at a reasonable price, without getting ripped off in the process? I have pretty good experience in the repair market concerning most pistols, and rifles, but I am an admitted novice when it comes to the Garand.
So I hand it off to you guys for help in repairing the fine old battle rifle. The one that I have always wanted, but had no idea where to start.
