awesome gun. it makes a fine addition to your aresenal. i cannot speak of true accuracy as i have just used surplus brass ammo in mine and then it has sat. this is my second one and if i recall correctly the old one with fmj american eagle would shoot about 1 inch at 100 yds. never did too much ammo sampling as this was good enough for me.

i just picked up a handy in 204 ruger last week. if i ever get a day that the mercury comes above 0 i will post results.

take one second to stop and think about those serving now and take 2 seconds to remember those who served before us.

I had one that I put a cheap 12x scope on and with cheap ammo (223) it was sub MOA. I gave it to my grandkids to shot prairie rats with!![^]

Self defence is an ablsolute and natural right. Keep your powder dry! J. Rau, Alaska

I found that the south african surplus fmj was too hot in one I tried. Anything marked .223 remington was ok but not 5.56 military.

Got my son one for his first high powered rifle this past spring. Put an old Bushnell 3x9 on it and it shot right around 1 inch with any old WalMart ammo. Probably would shoot better if I spent more money on cartidges, but fine for an 11 yr old boy, he got his first woodchuck at about 130 yds with it!

that mustve been an exciting day for you and him! awesome! So is he hooked now, on guns and/or hunting? [:D]

Best .223 for the money, IMO, is Sellier and Bellot, www.natchezss.com has it for 3.45 for a box of 20. http://www.natchezss.com/ammo.cfm?contentID=productList&ammoRecID=1&brand=ZY&subgroup=2437&CFID=1286794&CFTOKEN=98814641
