i am trying to find out the history on a winchester 3220 model 1882 repeating rifle and what it is worth any suggestions

  Most likely a Model 1892.
  
  Your going to have to post QUALITY pictures or give us a very specific description of the rifle, ( markings, serial number, barrel length, condition, etc.etc. ). For us to help you.
